Tonight is the night!

We will officially be in our house tonight! Byron and Dad had too much going on yesterday so we weren't able to get the beds up to the house. The plan today is that my dad and Byron should be finished with work around Noon today. After that we will get things moved. The house is coming along. Mom watched the kids all day yesterday, so I got all the boxes we had up at the house unpacked. My kitchen is all set up. I have most of our closet set up. We have the living room set up. So we are doing very well. The kids had fun last night hanging out at the house for a while. Jaycee didn't come out of her room for an hour! She discovered that her toy box was there. She had EVERYTHING out of it! It was so cute! She was loving it!

A few stories about the kids! We laugh a lot! They are so funny and their personalities are wonderful. The first story is Jackson being a pest to Jaycee. Mom was in her bathroom getting ready. Jackson was playing in there and Jaycee was in Mom's room watching cartoons. All of sudden, Jackson left the room and then came running to the back wall laughing. Jaycee comes running in there and hits Jackson and goes back to her cartoons. Jackson takes off again. So mom decides to watch this time. Jaycee is in front of the tv and Jackson walks up and hits Jaycee and takes off running. Jaycee turns to come get him and notices that my mom is watching so she turns back around to the tv. So Jackson goes in there again to hit Jaycee since she didn't come after him the last time. Mom said it was so funny.

Then yesterday, not that this is funny but I have to share. Jackson has figured out how to turn mom's faucets on her garden tub. Mom got on to him b/c it was the hot water he kept turning on. So once Jaycee realized that bubby could get hurt, she went into her Mother Hen mode. As Jackson was turning the faucet on, Jaycee was trying to pull him away and Jackson bit Jaycee. Mom said she was in total shock and it happened so fast. Jaycee was heart-broken and has pretty good imprints of bubby's teeth on her arm.

So that is our news! So this will probably be my last post for a few days! Enjoy!

I apologize for not getting pictures up yet. I took the camera and forgot. The house was very clean! Which is so nice. We got the make do fence up for now. We also cut in the dog door and put up the dog gate in the house. We unloaded a few more things and called it a night. As you can tell, we aren't moving right now. Byron and my dad are busy at work today and Byron hasn't been able to get away. So hopefully, we will make our goal of staying there tomorrow night, but I am not so sure. If Byron is able to get off tomorrow then we most definitely will. We will go over tonight and set up the washer, dryer, and the fridge. Maybe I will get some pictures. If I do, don't look too hard at the yard. It needs to be mowed and all the flower beds need to be clean. At least you will know what our house looks like. You probably won't get inside pictures until I have it all decorated! Anyways! Just letting you know our status!

Look for in a few weeks The difference of Oklahomans vs. the rest of the world! So thankful that I married someone outside the state of Oklahoma. My eyes have been opened! Don't get me wrong I LOVE my OKLAHOMA ROOTS, but its quite funny at times to see how they think!

WOOHOO!

That is how we are feeling around here today! In 3 hours we will be closing on our new home! WOW, what a wonderful feeling that will be! We are so excited to be moving forward again! After we sign today, Byron and I will head to our new place. We will survey the house to see how much cleaning needs to be done, and I will start on that. Byron will cut the dog door in and make the house and yard dog friendly! We will get a few things set up and then call it a night. Hopefully, we will be able to get the majority of the stuff moved tomorrow! Our goal is that Thursday will be our first night, but I think we really want to be there by tomorrow night! I am going to take the camera today. So I will have some pictures to post tonight.

Also, it will be a few weeks before we are up and running with internet. There is only one provider for high-speed in the Velma area.(The downfall of a small rural community) So they are behind about 3-4 weeks. Hopefully, we will get it sooner then what they are saying! I am sure we will be plenty busy we won't even miss the computer!

Our Nooksack house is going quite well. The inspection was on Saturday. We didn't hear anything from it, so I guess everything is good and moving along! We can't even explain how relieved we are to have that house sold. We know its totally a God thing! We are so grateful to the Lord and His perfect plan for our lives!

The Nooksack house is under contract! Thank you Jesus! We received a phone call last night that we had an offer. We discussed it and made a counter-offer. They accepted it. So the closing date is set for May 15th. Both parties agreed that closing could be done as soon as the paper work is ready. So we are praying and believing it will be done by the 1st of May.

Its been 7 months since we made the choice to sell our house. Obviously, this wasn't how we would have drawn the plan to go, but we serve a Mighty God. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. So we praise the Lord for His faithfulness. I know God has taught us many things through this period in our life. Even though we had our moments of doubt, God never left us or forsaken us! So we are overjoyed for the prayer that has been answered. We know a year from now we will look back on this time and have great memories and our faith will be so much stronger b/c of what God has done for us. To all of you out there that lifted us up in prayer, we say thank you. Many blessings to your family and I pray that this will give you a hope as well. That whatever you are going through keep pressing into God and know that all things are possible with God!

Because of the sale of our home coming so close to the closing of our home here I won't have to be out of touch with the world. We will be able to have internet fairly soon after we move in. So you shouldn't miss too much from the Lohrer household! I will get pictures of our home and post them next week for you all to see!

Good News, Good News!

We heard today that we will be closing on our house here on April 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. YAY! We are so excited to know that we have an actual date! The materials arrived yesterday for the shop building. The couple we are buying from said it will be done by this Tuesday. That gives them a good week to get things taken care of and moved into their new place. So the couple will leave us a nice clean house to move right into. They are perfectionists so I know we won't have any problems. We are so excited! So this next week we will be busy getting our address changed once again and getting things packed back up!

Also, to pass along we won't have internet at our new place. We have decided to hold off until our Washington house sells. So I won't be able to post very often. When I come to my parents house I will try to give you updates. Hopefully, I can do that once a week! We believe that will only be for a short time, as we know that our house will sell soon!

Maybe this week I can get up there and take some pictures of the place to let you all see our new home! Have a great weekend!

Here are some pictures from the past week. As you can tell we have lots of fun around here. The first set of pictures are from the kids playing in the water puddles in front of my mom and dad's house. They loved it! What great entertainment! Also, some pictures of what an almost 3 yr. little girl can do to her room! This is one of her most favorite things to do! She will spend lots of time everyday in there. I also sent how clean it can get as well. The toy box is Jackson's birthday gift from Nana and Papa. We love it! There is a picture of Jackson wearing his shoes that squeek everytime he takes a step! Oh yes, Jackson's toilet paper masterpiece! Jaycee "working" with Mamaw! Then just a few sweet other pictures of my precious babies! Enjoy!

Its April already!

I can't believe we are already in the 4 month of 2008! That is just crazy! There isn't too much excitement going on around here. Its just the daily life of 2 young kids! Which I guess at times can be pretty exciting. For instance, last night Byron was getting the bath ready. Once the faucet is on, it doesn't matter where Jackson is he comes in a dead sprint! So he is in the bathroom now, Byron getting things ready in the tub, helping Jaycee get in and before he knows it he has Jackson by the waist of his pants, b/c Jackson couldn't wait any longer and was diving over the edge of the tub! Daddy saved him and got his clothes off and in Jackson went.

Better add this since it just now happened. While I am telling you what is happening in our life, Jackson comes into the kitchen with toilet paper wrapped around his waist and legs. As I go to help him I discover he has pulled the entire roll of toilet paper out of the bathroom! (I will attach pictures soon) He was pretty proud of himself. So mom and I pulled out our cameras to document the "hard work" Jackson had just completed.

Now to my precious little girl. She isn't even 3 yet, and she acts like she is 10! She talks all the time.( Yes, she got that from me, sorry sweetie) I really enjoy hearing her sweet little voice and the thoughts that come out! These days she is totally into talking about her birthday. We have had several birthdays over the past few weeks, so her birthday must be addressed. So she wants a Cinderella party (princess party). Anyone she talks to she invites. So last night when she talked to Nana she asked if she could come to her party. She told Nana what kind of party it would be. Then she went on to say Nana when my party is over your party will be next! So cute! She LOVES talking on the phone now. It doesn't matter who I am talking to she says I want to talk! The cutest thing about that is she gets the phone and walks around as she talks! For the most part she does pretty well carrying on a conversation!

My job as a mom of 2 is getting a little harder. Jackson wants to get into everything. So I am constantly on my toes about that. Toys!!!! Jaycee doesn't like one bit when Jackson gets his hand on something that she has. Let me tell you the fight is on. They both break out into the worst screams you have ever heard. Jackson for the most part is left in tears for about a second. Jaycee on the other has to voice her opinion a little longer. So for now, Jaycee's safe haven is the bed. Then there are moments when she wants to play all by herself. That is when peace sets in for me. We grab a few toys for Jackson, close the door, and it will be a good 30-45 mins. before we ever see Jaycee. The girl loves playing in her room. There is quite a mess when she is done! I am thankful that she loves to do that. Every mommy knows you need some peace during the day!

Update on our housing situation! The house in Nooksack is doing fine. Its still showing, which we praise God for that! We know the sell is coming soon! The right buyer is out there. Our house is the only one for sell now in that housing development. The builder rented the only one he had for sell. Which was a shocker. He is building 2 more homes, but they are in the very early stages. We also have lowered the price again so we know any day it will be sold. Our house down here we should be closing on or around April 14th. A little longer than what we thought, but that's fine. They are allowing a week for the shop to get built. So the weekend we thought we might be moving, they will be moving. Which I know is good for them. They both work so that is what will work best for them. We will probably be moving during the week as long as Byron isn't too busy with work.
