Can someone please explain to me how in the world people can vote that life for a person does not begin at conception?(Colorado was voting on this) I am totally astonished by this! First and foremost for me is that I know that God is the creator of all living things. So for any woman that has been pregnant or is pregnant did you ever doubt that you had a baby alive inside of you? With Jaycee I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks. Well, that isn't at conception, but for my body to begin to change and for me to notice that there was something going on that means that something had happened 5 weeks before, right? Then for Jackson, we had an ultrasound done at 6 weeks we saw his heart beating. So for a person to be alive a person must have a beating heart right? To get to the point where we were able to see a heartbeat means that life and growth was going on from the moment of conception. I can't even fathom how someone can say that life is not present at conception OR at any other stage of pregnancy. Never for a moment with my children did I ever think of them being an embroyo, a fetus, or any other term. From the time I found out I knew I had a living human being inside of me! Not that any explanation would change my mind, but just to know what thoughts actually go through a Pro-Choice supporters head would be nice.

I agree Dana.... at the very least, a plant has no heartbeat, and yet we have to keep them alive to be "green" but then turn around and a baby, with a heart beat, isn't alive? Some things are beyond my understanding, and this is one.
It's not a black and white issue...a lot of people object to the federal government having complete control over a woman's body. You chose to vote for a president who is all for a war that is killing many innocent people for a "cause". So where is the line drawn for killing humans? Terminating a pregnancy is a decision that absolutely should be made by each individual who takes into account their own moral, ethical and religious beliefs. Noone that is pro-choice is for all out free-for-all abortions, there should be restrictions, but a complete ban is not the answer.
It IS a black and white issue. While there are many gray areas in life, killing an INNOCENT, DEFENSELESS unborn child is not one of them. Using war as comparision to ending a life due to "inconvience" is ridiculous! And I know MANY pro-choice people who are for "all out free-for-all abortions with NO restrictions". So that is also incorrect. I HATE abortion for many reasons, but one reason that is personal to me...if abortion had been legal in my children's country, my two beautiful, hand-crafted by GOD, children would be DEAD!
Yes, Yes, and Yes to agree with the Lohrer family of 6 comment! To Megan, You think I enjoy that we are in war? I HATE war, I HATE everything about it. BUT, I understand that for the safety of our country and for us to keep our freedom and to help defensless people in other countries so maybe they can one day have a country as great as our country, then it has to be done. Wars will continue all over the world because of hatred of one man to another! Our soldiers aren't over in other countries killing innocent people. That isn't their goal. Yes, it happens b/c of the situations of war. Our soldiers are helping so many people. They are defending the innocent people in other countries that are having their children ripped from their hands and that the children are used as suicide bombs. So really you think that is great and we don't need to stop that!? To give some #s since 1973 when Roe vs. Wade came into act their have been 50 million innocent defenseless babies murdered in our country. Since the first War America participated in, from American Revolution to the war we are in now there have been 1.2 million soldiers killed. I am giving you these #s b/c you compared abortion to war. Which is absurb and shouldn't even be able to compare. 1.2 million soldiers who have died to give us the freedom to live in this great nation they have died for a reason. Something that they totally believed in. They were willing to do this b/c they understood the price it took to keep this country great. They don't want their children used as suicide bombs and they fight to defend other countries and so the people in that country won't have to live in fear of loosing their children too! What is the reasoning for killing 50 million babies in 35 years? SElFINESS and INCOVENIENCE are the reasons to kill babies in our country! I know that there are cases that you can make that you feel abortion would be right. I believe every child, baby, fetus, embroyo, or whatever word you choose to use regardless of how they were conceived has a right to live AND that God created them for a purpose. That He has a plan for their life. That nothing is an accident to Him. I know that as a mom, I would have given my life if needed to allow either one of my children a chance to live!!! I know several women that were told by their doctors to abort their babies, they did not and they have healthy vibrant children in their lives! To say all of this, my question wasn't necesarily if you agree with abortion or not. It was how can people think life doesn't start at conception? To moms that are pregnant or have been pregnant did you ever not think you had a living being inside of you? Pro-Choice supporters want it to be this way so they won't feel guilty about murdering innocent defenseless babies!
It's a shame that people think we are at war to protect the freedom of others...we are at war to protect our on selfish interests in oil. If it were about freeing people we would be putting effort into the Sudan and other places where people are in great need of peace. It would also be great if everyone could put as much effort and passion into reforming the foster system as we do into the abortion debate so that we can lower the rate of abortions and have SAFE places for all the children who need one. Let me say again...I DO NOT SUPPORT ABORTION...I do however support it being an individuals right to choose.
