Our weekend!

I am going to start with Friday evening. Byron and I got a date night. My parents were having the kids come for a sleepover! I was on my way to my parents when a light on my dashboard came on followed by the screen area of the dashboard saying "check tire pressure". I began hitting the info key to check my tire pressure. Normal is around 32. I thought I would see the numbers in the 20s. Nope, by the time I got to that part it was at 12 counting down 11, 10, 9. I was in shock. So I pulled over on a dirt road off the S curves to my parents. I got out to see what tire was going flat. I checked the front ones nothing, but I could hear the air seeping out! It was our right rear tire. Yes, it was flat!!! I called my mom first so she could come pick the kids up. Then I began calling Byron. He had just gotten home when I was leaving so needless to say I never got him. He was getting ready and never heard his cell or home phone ring. Thankfully, my dad was getting home when my mom was about to leave. So mom jumped in the work truck with my dad and they came to my rescue. Dad got my little donut tire on. My car looks hilarious! I can't believe that you can actually drive on those things. The best part of it was Jackson getting to watch my dad change the tire! He was squatted down just like my dad watching every move! So cute!

Byron and I still got to go on our date. We took Byron's work truck. We went to dinner and then to the movies. We saw "Couples Retreat". Very funny movie. I think we have actually been to 3 movies this year. WOOHOO!!! At the moment, that will probably be it, because there wasn't a single movie preview that was good. I guess more so because the time of year with Halloween and stuff, but seriously even some of the ones that are suppose to be for kids were scary to me!

Saturday, Byron worked. I think I said several months ago that Byron had picked up some electrical jobs on the side. Well, he is still working on this one house. Great for us its job security, but its amazing how much these people are doing. Byron is now getting to trim the house. The house is huge! Anything and everything that an electrician could think of to install its been done in this house! He has even re-wired one of the barns at the Bull Ranch. The kids and I spent a little time at my parents. Then we just relaxed after Byron got home. It was another bad weekend for sports for us. If OU looses, then the Huskies do the same as well as the Seahawks! If that isn't enough then our 2 favorite drivers for NASCAR didn't have success either. Denny Hamlin's motor burned up and Dale Jr. had lots of trouble with his car. Oh, well we can hope this next weekend is better for sports!!!

Yesterday, we went to church and as soon as church was over the kids and I went with my grandparents to a surprise graduation/birthday party! My cousin's husband graduated from Cleat School. He is now a police officer for Dickson, OK. Then we have 5 birthdays throughout the month of October on my dad's side of the family so we were all together to celebrate that as well. It was a fun day of seeing the family. After the kids ate and finished their cake Jackson was at full speed! Thankfully, it was family and a few friends of my cousins Melody and John. Jackson was running laps through the building! He was on a definite sugar high! The kids had a great time! My cousin's little girl, Mia Paige, is crawling now and she followed Jaycee everywhere. Christmas this year will be so much fun at Ma and Pa's house.

After the party we can home and relaxed. Jaycee slept on the couch for a while and Jackson was busy playing with his cars. We had a really great weekend despite our teams loosing!!! We have a busy week ahead of us. Tonight and Thursday night Byron and I have our co-ed softball games. The last week for them! YAY! Byron will work Tuesday night, possibly Friday and then this weekend at the Bull Ranch on the house. Wednesday we have our parenting class at church! Its excellent!!! The kids and I have lots of things to do around the house. I need to finish up some painting projects outside. Thankfully, our weather should be good this week! So hopefully I can get it all done!!!

Have a great day everyone! I hope to blog more, but it never seems to happen! I can continue to hope though that one day I could have a blog entry every day!!! In the next months I am sure I will. At least a more active blog! The Fadden family is coming to visit the beginning of November.( 2 weeks away, Kate, WOOHOO!!!) Then we have Thanksgiving. Byron's parents are coming the first part of December and then we have Christmas. I hope that I can get lots posted during Christmas to document our 25 Days til Christmas activities I am planning for! Should be extra special since Nana and Papa will be able to be a part of most of those days!!! YAY!

Sounds like a fantastic weekend, minus the tire issue! Can't wait for your 25 days to christmas post.
