Sorry for not posting lately! Its definitely not because I haven't wanted to, its because our Internet connection has been very bad. With us living in a small rural town our options are limited. The only semi-fast option for Internet is wireless. We receive signals from local towers. Lately, I have felt like we were back using dial up. The computer guy came out today and changed our IP address and switched something around so we can receive from 2 locations instead of just 1. So for the time being we have semi-fast Internet again! WOOHOO!
The last time I posted was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! WOW! That has been a while. I guess I have a little catching up to do. Thanksgiving was great! Lots of wonderful food and dessert. We had a good time with our family in Loco. It was great weather too. The kids played outside and rode the golf cart around. I didn't get too many pictures though. The first part of the day Jaycee was sleeping. She had spent the night at my parents with my nieces the night before. Then Jackson slept for the latter part of the day.
Black Friday, Byron and I journeyed into Wal-Mart! The kids stayed at my parents so we thought we would experience the joy of shopping on the craziest day of the year. Neither of us had ever participated and I doubt we will ever do it again! Wal-Mart was insane! We thought we might have the slightest chance of getting the kids Power Wheel jeeps. In 30 seconds they were gone and we couldn't even get close enough to touch one! We did however get a new printer. Our printer had crashed a few months ago. They had the newest version of ours for $30. I can now print out recipes instead of hand writing them! Yippee! I was thrilled to buy the kids winter coats for $8 and to also get them some nice but comfortable sweat suits for $4 a piece! All in all it was good!
Friday evening our nieces came over and stayed the night. We had lots of fun playing the Wii. Saturday morning my best friend Tracy, whose parents live across the street from us, came over for coffee. Its so wonderful living across from the Crook family. Now, I am able to see my best friend whenever she comes home from Austin, TX to visit her parents! Saturday night of course was the Bedlam Battle in football. University of Oklahoma Sooners against Oklahoma State University Cowboys. Once again, the Sooners came out on top! They have now earned their way to play in the National Championship game January 1st! WOOHOO!!!
I also got up all of the inside Christmas decorations Thanksgiving weekend. Byron finished up the outside stuff this past weekend. The first week of December was pretty calm. We bought groceries, went to church, and watched 2 Velma Comet basketball games. So glad basketball season is here. I LOVE it! Even though its still hard at the games to totally watch what is going on, I still enjoy it. Jaycee does great! Jackson is the squirmy one. The only way to keep him still for 5 minutes is a sucker! The kids get full of sugar, but we all have a grand time!
This past Saturday was girls shopping day! My mom, sis, and I left from my house at 7:00 a.m. For good shopping we travel about an hour and half away to Norman, OK. Its a little south of Oklahoma City. We arrived back at my house at 10:30 that night. So we shopped for 12 1/2 hours! YES!!! We so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We hope to do it more often not just at Christmas time! We all did really well. I have Kiley, Keely, Amy, and Mom's gifts. I also have our small group's dirty santa gift. My mom's suburban was packed. The only room left were the 3 seats we needed so we could make it to our next destination!
For today, Jackson pushed over our Christmas tree!!! Lovely! He is truly all boy! Jaycee broke an ornament her first Christmas and since then hasn't laid a hand on a tree. Hopefully, Jackson learned his lesson and will keep away from the tree! I am not crossing my fingers though! For Jaycee its back to her wonderful eating habits! I made one of her favorites, Creamy Burrito Casserole. She decided she didn't like it anymore. She went on to say that the food I make her is disgusting and that it taste like Bubby's spit up! UGH! Needless to say, that didn't make this mommy too happy. I snatched up her plate and she will go without food for the rest of the day. ZERO food! I am pretty sure she will be introduced to lots of food that will make her very thankful for when mommy makes her favorite meal again!!! I have forgiven her for her very rude comment, but she will learn to be thankful for the food that is placed in front of her to eat!
I think you all are now caught up on the Lohrer family in Oklahoma. Hopefully, in the next couple of days I will post some pictures. This is of course, if our internet cooperates with us! Hope you all have a fabulous week!

Glad to hear the updates Dana! Thanks!
So glad to have you back on line!! Even though I knew the kids story I had to laugh again at them. Isn't being a mom GREAT? Gotta love em!!
I LAUGHED when I read what Jaycee said! It is soooo naughty, but hilarious (to those of us who weren't insulted;) It only took Evalin 22 hours without food and now she will eat just about ANYTHING! She still talks about not being able to eat anything until she finished her dinner (22 hours later!!!) Same with Kathryn, she had granola for breakfast, lunch, dinner and breakfast again (yes, same bowl of granola) before she learned that you eat without complaining! It heart my mom heart to be so tough, but there are some things that are worth teaching...gratefulness is one of them...so good job on ya, Dana!
I meant to say "hurt my mom heart" (really, I can spell!)
